Nutritional Therapy
What is Nutritional Therapy?
Nutritional Therapy is suitable for those suffering from chronic conditions, as well as those who just want to improve well-being and feel better overall. For a body to function well, and to have the ability to create an effective barrier to fight against disease, adequate and correct diet is paramount. The nutritional and other components of food influence the physiological activities of our system. The body must be running well to deal with environmental changes and bring a person back to well-being.
Dietary intervention in nutritional therapy is personalised, based on an individual’s constitution, environmental influences and lifestyle among other factors. A variety of techniques may be used to establish if there are nutritional factors underlying an individual’s symptoms. A holistic, complimentary therapy, based on addressing underlying causes, Nutritional Therapy aims to improve a person’s health so they can function at their optimum level. It is not a replacement for traditional healthcare, and therapists work alongside medical practitioners where required.
